All rooms must be two-thirds a-
bove ground.
Linens, bedding, and cleaning
supplies may or may not be pro-
vided by the owner. This is an
important factor about which to
inquire in arranging for a room.
If the tenant is to do his own
cleaning, the house-holder should
provide convenient and approp-
riate equipment. Although the
tenant is expected to leave the
bathroom clean and neat at all
times, the householder is' obligat-
ed to do regular weekly cleaning
of the bath-room and public
halls. Cooking is not permitted in
the rooms. Hot-plates are pro-
hibited. Occasionally the house-
holder provides a, supervised kit-
chen where the student may cook
meals, but this is not a usual
service.
Furnished rooms include util-
ities and care of bath facilities.
The higher costs often indicate
extra service or luxuries like a
private bath, air-conditioning,
breakfast, or supervised cooking
privileges. In all cases it is un-
derstood that no electrical equip-
ment for cooking in sleeping
rooms or suites is permitted, ac-
cording to city and statehous-
