Read Daily- Classifieds Inter House Vote Creates New Body (Continued from Page 1) tion to the presidents or represen- tatives, the president, who will have a vote, executive vice- president and various other ex- officio members will have seats. -An executive board that will be a 12-man body, containing, besides the two above mentioned officers, an administrative vice- president, a secretary, a treasurer, and the heads of seven standing committees. The president and executive vice-president are elect- ed by the president's council, and these two then appoint the other board members, with the advice of the old board. Voice Student Opinion The greatest effect of the new body is expected to be felt in areas where IQC and Assembly had separate but similar programs, such as orientation. Another area, and perhaps the most important one is in voicing the student's opinions before the administra- tion. IHA, it is hoped, will allow the students to present a united front to the administration. The inclu- sion of the heads of the standing committees 'will put the new or- ganization into a closer awareness of the opinions of the dorm resi- dents. The presidents council will be the legislative branch of IHA. 'All new policies will originate there. The executive board acts in an administrative capacity, run- ning the organization, and sub- mitting matters to the presidents council. Eliminate Duplication The main concept of IHA is to improve the efficiency of student dorm government, by eliminating duplication between the men's and women's dorms. It is also hoped that the lack of upperclassmen in the organization will be alleviated. ATTENTION] WOMEN GRADUATES The UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER ROCHESTER, NEW YORK We will be interviewing at Michigan Union on February 24 for a variety of non- teaching positions.
