'"Hotels Offer Student Plan

The student traveler is smart
to carry his University I.D. cardI
with him whenever he journeys
past the confines of his city lim-
its. Surprisingly unknown to stu-
dents is the fact that the two
major hotel chains, Sheraton and
Hilton, and some of the smaller
companies offer substantial sav-
ings to student and faculty travel-
ers. The presentation of your I.D..
card and a friendly manager will
save you up to 20 per cent on
room rates at these establish-
ments. The more people sharing;
a room, the greater the individual
savings. If you want to drag your
brother, sister, or child along with
you, children under 14 stay for
free in the same room as a paying
adult.
The plan is in effect at most
hotels from Thursday evening un-'
til Sunday, but a friendly smile
to the manager, or lots of empty!

Although the I.D. card is often

sufficient proof of University af-
filiation, the Sheraton Corp. issues
special cards to students and dis-
count rates are immediately hon-
ored. Faculty members and Uni-
versity employes receive credit
cards which enable to charge their
stays and gives them check cash-
ing privileges.
The Sheraton Corp. maintains
a campus representative to provide
University affiliates with all these
services and to make immediate
confirmed reservations at any of
its 100 hotels throughout the
