About three years ago Saks
Fifth Avenue started carrying a
new style in men's dress-wear.
The jackets were called Hopsack
and they looked good but only a
few would buy them. The fabric
is unique in that it is dressy but
has an air of casualness about it
that gives the wearer a comfort-
able relaxed look.
It's a bold weave, but surpris-
ingly lightweight. The colors
used are usually muted greens or
blues (a heather shade) that
(catch the eye as being distinc-
tive but don't give off a blinding
blast at the same time. The
jacket itself is trim and tapered,

enought to be mature.
