The former American League left-hander who never lost to the twins in. his days with Washing- ton, carried his charm through nine brilliant innings with a five hitter. Series today, Dodger Manager Walter Alston had announced he would call on Drysdale, loser of the first game, to face Jim Grant, the Man who beat him Wednes- day 8-2. The Twins lost more than the game when Earl Battey, their No. 1 catcher, ran into the railing near the Twins dugout while try- ing to catch a foul in the seventh. He was forced. to leave the game. Lefebvre Hurt Los Angeles also had a casualty. Jim Lefebvre suffered a bruised Cuban's curve ball was not as ef- fective as usual.
