PEOPLE!

Biafra Walk '69 is a fund raising event organized by students at the

University of Michigan.

The idea is to raise several hundred thou-

sand dollars to buy food and medical supplies for starving Biaf ran
Refugees. The money will be raised by holding a 'sponsored walk'
on Saturday, December 6. Each walker will have recruited sponsors
to 'pay' him for each mile of the walk. Biafra Walk '69 will, after
having received the money, donate it to one or m ore of four or-
ganizations, depending on which one is able to get the aid to Bia-
fra fastest. The route of the walk is four miles and is concentrated
in Ann Arbor. Please contact one of the people listed below for in-
formation. If you want to help in the organization of the walk
then call Biafra Walk '69, 668-7622 during the day, or 763-1774 be-
tween 9-10 P.M.
