"To submit decisions of a mix- ed student-faculty board for ap- peal to an all student judiciary is unacceptable to the faculty," Knauss told the ad hoc committee Wednesday. Thus, Knauss, in the draft to go before the Senate Assembly to- Inorrow, has proposed that the CSJ be established in the tradi- tion of a review board. Election, referendum. this week (Continued from Page 1) time in the election last November. The SGC elections committee has taken some steps "to ensure, that the election is not marred by, fraud," says Dale Jurcisin, SGC elections director, For example, officials manning the polling places will be composed of representatives from several or- ganizations rather than represent- atives of a single campus group. As a further safeguard, only a limited number of people will have access to the computer cen- ter in Rackham, where the votes will be counted. However, Jutcisin admits "there is no short cut method for stop- ping cheating. But -we're using many more safeguards now than we have in the past." Twelve students are running for the five at-large Council seats. The candidates include four in- cumbents: Carol Hollenshead, '71, Bob Nelson, '71, Joan Shemel, '70, anid Panther White, '69. The 24 polling places will be locatedhthroughout the campus, and there will be one in each dormitory. GENERAL DIVISION 3200 S.A.B.
