human problem without geographical bounds. The ques-
tion is why. This series will draw on the resources of
international scholars and students from a variety of dis-
ciplines to try to discover some of the unconscious and
underlying causes of prejudice, especially as it is ex-
pressed radically, religiously and nationalistically
