THE MICHIGAN DAILY I. IN ACTION DA CLASSIF- A ] S i; The Michigan track squad will; get little rest between semesters as some of the team will partici- pate in as many as three meets. The between semester competi- tion will be held in Chicago, Bos- ton, Ann Arbor and East Lansing. Today, Coach Don Canham takes a group of sophomores and two seniors to the Chicago-land Open; the Chicago Track Club sponsors the Relays, which will be run at the school's fieldhouse. Top Sophomores Among the sophs are Tom Rob- inson, who will run the 60-yd. dash and Dick Cephas in the 70- yd. low hurdles. Mamon Gibson, sonior captain, will enter the pole vault. At Boston's Knights of Columbus Invitational, Eeles Landstrom will be a favorite in the pole vault, and freshman Ergas Leps will gain experience in the 1,000-yd. run. AAU Meet Here The rest of the squad will wait until January 31 when the Michi- gan AAU will be held in Ann Arbor. Canham will have the en- tire team in attendance and ex- pects up to 300 entrants. The final meet is the MSU Re- lays, in which several Big Ten and Big Eight schools will compete. Strong independents such as Notre Dame and Penn State are also entered.
