Those who are taking other physical education requirements can also use the golf course. Bowling Alleys Available 'Four bowling alleys in the Women's Athletic Building offer a ten pins fall. Fencing instruction is also pro- vided in the WAB. After the first few weeks of the course after the basic techniques are learned, matches are arranged between students from the University and fencers from other schools. Women are required to furnish their own skates, but they are asked not to buy a pair before the first class period if they don't already own their own. - Experience Offered Recreational leadership is an- other class open to University women in the physical education department. This course is de- signed to teach fundamentals as well as to give students experience in the recreational field. The class provides experience required for. summer jobs. Students learn essentials of handiicraft, campcraft, hobbies, games, music, nature, story telling and first aid. Women do "field work" with Scouts, Brownies,, Y- Teens, patients at University Hos- pital and other recreation centers around Ann Arbor. Riding Furnished Instruction in horseback riding is furnished throughout the school year. Transportation is furnished ta the stables, located outside Ann Arbor.
