FRIDA THE MICHIGAN DAILY . , 1 Need for Atlantic Federation Stressed i Gina Bachauer To Present Third Concert in Series 1 The University Choral Union's third concert will be played here by Gina Bachauer, pianist from Greece, at 8:30 p.m. Monday in Hill Aud. Mme. Bachauer's program in- cludes "Sonata in A Major, Opus 2, No. 2" by Beethoven; "Sonata in F Minor, Opus 5" by Brahms; "Three Preludes"' by Debussy; "Fantasy in F Minor" and "Three Etudes from Oput 25" by Chopin. She first appeared in Ann Arbor with the Philadelphia Orchestra ins the 1957 May Festival. At that time she played the Brahms "Sec- ond Concerto." Native - of Athens, Mme. Bach- auer studied piano at the Athens Conservatory. She later was a stu- dent with Cortot in Paris and with Sergei Rachmaninoff. She gave concerts in France, Italy, Yugo- slavia, Austria and Egypt. During her preparation for a third Italian tour, the war broke out in Greece. Over 600 concerts and recitals were given in Egypt and the Near East in army camps and hospitals during the war by Mme.
