- IT ~ ~ i - -Daily-Allan Winder APRIL FLOWERS-A secluded corner of our frigid municipality makes way for spring. These daffodils were found blooming in the Law Quad. The daffodil is one of the first flowers to bloodin in the spring, preceded only by the crocus, bluebell and lily of the valley.. Optimists might take its appearance as a sign that spring is on its way, even in Ann Arbor. Police yesterday warned studentsv to lock their bicycles. Quite commonly, one officer} said, the Police Department re- ceives complaints of stolen bi- cycles. Usually in the spring they have been taken while parked, used by a student to go somewhere, and left there. "This is a problem we run into every spring," he said. Four, bicycle thefts were reported to police sSuinday. Caught bicycle thieves are taken to Municipal Court, Assistant Dean of Men John Bingley said. There, he went on, they are charged with petty or simple larceny and, if convicted, are fined. The officer added a request that students have licenses for their bicycles, that they use lights when riding after dusk and that they follow traffic regulations just as cars do. All bicycle riders are required by law to do so and are subject to fine if they do not comply. ALTERATIONS JOHN'S TAILOR SHOP "The Clothing Stores' Tailor" Alterations for Men and Women.
