Five people attempted to attend a lecture yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, the lecture was given last year. Scheduled for 4 p.m. March 3, in Aud. C, the lecture, under the auspices of the education school, was to be given on "The Ability and Personality of the Learner," by Prof. George D. Stoddard, dean of the school of education, New York University, according to this week's Weekly Calendar of Events. No lecturer appeared. The dean's office of the educa- tion school knew nothing about the lecture, save what had appeared on the calendar. The office of higher education at the education school knew nothing about the lecture, save what had appeared on the calendar. The secretary's office at the edu- cation school knew nothing about the lecture, save what had ap- peared on the calendar. . The Special Publications Office, which publishes the Weekly Calen- dar, knew nothing about the lec- ture save what had appeared on the announcement which came from the education school. University News Service knew nothing about the lecture off hand, bnut investigated and found the answer. ,Someone in the Special Publica- tions Office had accidently put an announcement of a lecture given. last year in with the announce- ments of this year's events, and it had gone through and been pub- lished on this year's calendar. The five people went home. r i rir rrr~i rlrrrrrr ~ rI~r r rm rr l~r rrlrr ALTERATIONS JOHN'S TAILOR SHOP "The Clothing Stores' Tailor" Alterations for Men and Women. Pressing While You Wait 118 E."
