Well, that's what the Michigan Rugby Club is going to do over Christmas vacation, only in re- verse, as they take on the English in their native sport on their home turf. And in the bargain, the guys get to see a good part of the British Isles since there are games in Northern England, Scotland, and London. They will be playing at least eight matches in all during the two and a half week tour. The first game, against Hartlett Pool, is probably the roughest on the schedule. Tom Raboine, the tour captain, calls it the club's "baptism by fire." After two more games there inI Northern England, they head for; Glasgow, then Edinburgh, and fin- ally end up in London for the last three days. The English members of the club originally instigated the idea of a tour several years ago, but many have since graduated, and it now turns out that only one of the 25 guys making the trip has ever been to England before. But the alumni were invaluable for setting up contacts with the English teams. Most of the leg work in Eng- land 'was done by Alan McClain, ane ex-president of the club who is. currently teaching at Edin- burgh.
