Tomjanovich and Stewart each had 16 rebounds in the Wolver- ine's first winning effort of the season. The first half of the game was close all the way as neither team was able to mount a substantial lead., * The Wolverines scored first and took an early 3-0 lead. But the Titans came back quickly to take the lead for one of the four times they were ahead in the half. With the score tied 12-12, and 16:20 re- maining in the half, Michigan for- ward Bob Sullivan sunk one of his twisting lay-ups to put Michigan ahead 14-12. Brisker Moves Shortly after Michigan took the lead, Ken Maxey fouled Ralph Brisker in a bonus situation. Brisker made one of the two shots to make the score 14-13. With 14:45 remaining Brisker broke away after a missed Mich- igan shot and sunk a jump shot from the foul line to give Detroit a 15-14 lead.
