The victory by the seventh ranked Vols over number six Ala- bama put Tennessee in a com- manding position in the South-, eastern Conference race. Wyche, operating with the' aplomb of a veteran, directed a Tennessee running and passing" attack that kept the pressure on Alabama most of the game.
