Managing editor Steve Wild- strom whose job will entail co- ordinating Daily news coverage, is a sociology major from Detroit. He has been on The Daily staff since September, 1965. Last sum- mer he worked as a newsman for the Associated Press Detroit Bur- eau, and helped cover the city's August riots. Editorial director Urban Lehner is an honors history major from Grand Rapids. He has reported for two years and formerly was a member of the Michigan Debate Team. David Knoke, executive editor, will help oversee both news and editorial work. He is majoring in honors psychology and sociology and comes from Toledo, Ohio. He was summer sports editor in 1967, and as a freshman won a first prize Hopwood award for fiction. News editors Pat O'Donohue and Wallace Immen come from Flint and Detroit, respectively. Miss O'Donohue is majoring in far east- ern studies, and Immen is enrolled in the English teaching certificate program. Daniel Okrent, feature editor, will be in charge of the Daily's arts page. In addition, he will over- see the writing of front page feat- ures. He is majoring in American Studies, concentrating on 20th Century arts. Carolyn Miegel, from. Chap- paqua, N.Y., and Walter Shapiro, from Norwalk, Conn. have been named associate editorial directors. Both Shapiro and Miss Miegel are honors history majors. Magazine editor Neal Bruss is an honors English and philosophy major from Detroit. He is current- ly a correspondent for Time Maga- zine and has been a.correspondent for the Detroit Free Press. Last summer he won a Detroit Press Club Foundation Award for an editorial feature on the Hun- garian Revolution. He plans to do graduate work in the philosophy of literature. Lucy Kennedy, an English major from St. Louis, Mo. is the new Daily personnel director. Associate business manager Ken Kraus is enrolled in pre-law. He comes from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Marti Parker, newly-named fi- nance manager, is a journalism major from Howell. Senior circulation manager Jeff Brown, from Albany, N.Y., is ma- joring in English. Dave Pfeffer, advertising man- ager, comes from Lebanon, Ill. and is majoring in business adminis- tration. Business staff personnel dir- ector Jane Luxon is a speech ma- jor from Wyandotte. Weir is a journalism major from Bay City, Michigan. He is also the University sports correspondent for the United Press International wire service. Kohn is also a journalism ma- jor from Bay City, and serves as a student representative on the University Board in Control of Intercollegiate Athletics. Heller is a history major from New City, New York; Lees is a psychology major from Clarks- burg, West Virginia; and Levis is a political science major from Glencoe, Illinois.
