We Are An Equal Opportunity Employer -ON Sophs Rewrite Rebuilding Script By ANDY BARBAS i Last year, the gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA finals and turned out to be the second best team in the country. From this team, seven members were lost because of graduation. That meant that this year should have been a rebuilding season. But this year's sophomores tend to change the outlook. Five of them in particular are going far towards filling the vacated spots. ' Sid Jensen, because of his ver- satility, is the most promising of the foursome. While he has placed consistently above eight points, he has been unable to break the 9.0 barrier. Loken, however, feels that, "He just needs the co~r* petition and experience before he lives up to his potential. I think he should be much improved by the end of the season." Loken added, "In general, the sophomores are doing an excellent job of filing in the void left by the graduating seniors. Evei thouglh they slipped against Iowa, I think we should be able to recover and overtake Iowa in the Big Ten Meet." In evaluating their potential, Loken prophesized, "Any three of them should be able to win in* dividual Big Ten championships, and they have a good chance of eventually taking an NCAA title." As a senior he was pursued by colleges from all over the nation, including Iowa, Oklahoma, Penn State, Indiana, and Illinois.
