and sttudents, is endeavoritg to
place the U. of M. in the front
rank musically. To this end thle
Choral Union, which in the last
two years has developed from a
society of 40 menbers into a
grand chorus of 230 singers-has
entered te field for the second
tinme with an excellent corse of
concert, at a remarkably low
fignre. Thte attractions offered
are not otly of the first itporttnce
in or counttry, bit all the artists
and cotmbinatiotistre such is have
acquired ants tiaittaited itter-

country in the worsd is " sufficint
to ensture a crowded house. The
IN. Y. Philharmnotic Club is the
finest orgatizatiotn of its kind itt
the cotunttry. Te Bostsi Sym-i
phony Orchestra is one of the
three great orhestras (f the
world.
The whlte corse represents an
outlay tof $4,01), atdinay justly
be regarded as the fitest ever
offered itt the state. This work is
all donie not for personal gaiti or
for any advantage which may oc
cur to aty individual, nitiher is
there aity desire to act agaitst

btut the proper sport givento t
this eorse intsures the mlaittais-
atice of stcli a course for each
seasotn, the establishmtent of our
reputatioti as a musical ceter,
anid ini the netr futtre the build-
ing tup of a gratid department of
otissic and art. Moreover, each
and every tiatifestation of the
trots Utniversity spirit which
promtps every student to support
the etterprises which redound t
the credit and advancenent of the
Utiversity, nakes the ultimate
creationt of ethtiusiastm for the
Alita Mater tnearer of attainment.
SO the U. of M. DALY asks all its
readers to cordially stpport tie
