COMMUNICATIQN. Editors U. Or M. DAILY: For the benefit of those that are not acquainted with the rules of the Athletic Association, would you please explain the privileges of being a member, and give the membership fee ? A. STUDENT. [Constitution, Article II, Section s.-Membership-shall include mem- bers of all departments of the Uni- versity of Michigan, who shalll have paid an annual membership fee of three dollars ($3.oo), and all grad- uates who pay an annual fee of five dollar ($5.00)- Section 2.-The privileges of membership shall continue from the time of the payment of dues to the close of the same college year. These privileges include, besides the usual attendance at meetings and voting, the use of the tennis courts, the privilege of playing upon the base-ball and foot-ball teams, the use of the athletic grounds and apparatus, and above all the priv- ilege of being a supporter financially of Michigan's athletic interests.- En.] Princeton's Foot-Ball Team. That Princeton will have a team of about equal caliber to that of last year's team seems likely. The cen- ter men, Riggs, Symmes and Thom- as, have returned, as have also Wood, tackle; Warren, end; Ho- mans, full-back, and King, half- back, together with some of the substitutes, such as, Davis, Dusenberry and Hayden, two ends. Riggs, Warren and King are the only men of the lot who can be called first-class players. Princeton, it is true, has been working hard to get good men. As a result a young brother of ex-Captain Poe, said to be a phenomenal half-back; Porter, the ex-Lehigh half-back; Harrold, of the Franklin and Marshall rush line; 'big Wheeler, of St. Paul's, and Holly. of Media, are said to have entered. While these men are prom- ising, it is doubtful, with the excep- tion of young Poe, whether they can be moulded during the first year into players of sufficient ability to cope with Yale's tried men. Geo.B. Dygert, '93, is being very favorably spokec of as candidate for pre idenIof. thi Athletic.Association. OUR NEW PRICE, THREE CENTS.
