Last evening there were 408 reg- istered in the law department. The total last year was 366. There are 281 juniors, and 247 last year at this time. Quite a number of students at- tended the county fair yesterday to see the ferale aeronaut make a bal- loon ascension. The ascension was a :sucessful one. Friday will be the "big day" at the Fair. On that day there will be a balloon ascension by Miss Apel at 3 o'clock, a drill by the new Co. A., A. A. L. I., and the finest races of the fair. 53 Homeopathic students have registered. The four year course has been introduced in this depart- ment, and this year a number have applied for admission to the Fresh- man class. To-day's Detroit Tribune contains a description of the University and illustrations of Newberry hall, the main building, the library and Pres- ident Angell.
