A. meet came as a surprise to the University and has naturally ex- cited much comment and discussion. The necessity for withdrawing ip gen- uinely regretted, but not much doubt s felt that the necessity existed. The professionalism of Maybury and Coch- ems is unquestionable, and had the committee spent more time on the merits of the case and less on tech- nicalities these two men would lave been disqualified. Feeling that the stand taken by the committee justified revolution, Chicago, Illinois and Mich- igan withdrew. The result of this ac- tion is with the future.
