I "Dutch" Hears From "Count" Viil Co. A, U. of M. Rifles, wa. inspected A fact heretofore unpublished is that last night by tse military board and r "Dutch" Ferbert will return next fall to assist Hall, the head coach, in in- mayor of the city. A large crowd had structing the football team. Ferbert gathered on the campus to witness the will take the men back of the line inspection. Several difficult movements while Hall will amalgamate the line made by the company during the drill were generously applauded by the spectators. The whole company wore white duck trousers, which gave it a fne appearance. Major Soue, Cot. Dean and Mayor Hiscock made speeches and complimented the men on their military bearing and the company on its good movement. Col. Dean stated that the request of the company to be color company of the University would in all probability be granted. Women's League Reception. All members of the Women's League are "cordially invited to a reception at the Women's building Saturday, May 28, from 4 to 6 p. ms. Main st. tf into a stone wall. It was Mr. Ferbert's intention to join Count Villa in the Klondike this summer but he has changed his plans which means well for the success of the team next fall. By the way Mr. Ferbert heard from the "Count" day before yesterday. The letter was written March 13. Michi- gan's former tackle is now at "47 above Discovery" (wherever that is). He and his partner have four claims which are already valued at $1,500 each. They have chopped their wood and expect to sell it for $40 a cord. They are work- ing other claims for $10 a day and a share. The Count writes that they will lay in a sutply of stores this sum- mer and expect to remain where they are for another winter at least. How- ever, he says, that if he had known just the situation the hunt for riches in Klondike would never have tempted 111m. Interscholastic Oratorical Meet. The list of judges for the inter-schol- astic oratorical contest on Saturday night contains some of the most prom- inent educators of the state. Among these are: President, G. F.
