Although the dual track and field

time ago, new arrangements have been
entered into and it has been decided

strong one, some of the men being stars
in their respective events. Von Oven
hammer thrower, made 124 feet An the]
contest with Purdue last Saturday,
which Ilinois easily won by 81 to 47.
He also puts the shot close to 45 feet.
Hoagland, walker, won second place at
the W. I. C. meet last June. Byrne,
high jumper, took third place at the

Besides these men, Ilinois 'has a num-
her of new men who have made an ex-
cellent showing this year. Their tean
is fully as strong, if not stronger, than
the Chicago team whomthe track team
