Clubs Must Stay Home. At a recent meeting of the Admin- istrative Board it was definitely de- cided that the University Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Clubs should not take a trip this year. Furthermore it was decided that the clubs should not leave town to give a concert, not even to go far s Detroit or"Ypsilanti. This announcement was quite a surprise to the members of the clubs as some .of the members of the Administrative Board had given it as their opinion that inasmuch as no trip was taken last year, there would be no objection this year. Acting upon this"ox"ressio"of"opin- ion the executive committee of the clubs submitted to the Administrative Board a plan by which Professor Stanley was to have complete manage- ,ment of the clubs, both in directing their practice, and also in going along with them in person on the trip, during which he was to have complete controi over their conduct. This plan was re- fused by the Administrative Board, who stated definitely that the clubs should never again leave town under any circumstances whatever. As a result the clubs will confine their efforts to getting in shape for a home concert to be given in Ann Ar- bor next spring. They will also sing at the hop to be given by the Athleti- Association in the Gymnasium next nsonth. DRIELK 'T-AININ G.
