LAST NIGHT'S CELEBRATION. Not since the time that company A left for the field has Ain Arbor seen such a demonstration as was given last night in honor of her re- turning soldiers. Citizens and stu- dents turned out in full force with flags, banners, and an abundance of noise to express their welcome. The '00 law class evidently thinking that the celebration was entirely for their benefit made themselves rather ob- streporous. A procession composed of the mem- bers of the G. A. R., Sous of Veter- ans, Knights Templars, citizens and several bands, led by Majors Nan- crede and Soule, met the company at the T. & A. A. depot and escorted them to the armory, where appropri- ate exercises were held. The studesnts not wishing to take part, proceeded to the campus, where they celebrated the recent victories over Illinois by maeans of a large bonfire. CALENDAR.
