The Junior class met yesterday afternoon and elected its representa- tion the Michiganensian. The at. tendance was rather small consider- ing the purpose of the meeting. T. M. Marshall and W. B. Pitkin were nominated for managing editor. Mr. Marshall was looked upon as almost certain of election as Mr. Pitkin had not announced his candidacy until just before the meeting. But lie proved an extremely popular candi- date, winning out by a vote of 55 to 20 for his opponent. The following names were presented for the other places on the board: Miss Mabel Filkins, Miss Jessie Palmer and Messrs. Bentley, Strong, Eaman, Cor' win, Campbell, Marshall and Prentiss' Messrs. Eaman, Corwin and Camp- bell declined to be candidates. Miss Filkins, John Prentiss and George N. Bentley were elected. The class voted a tax of twenty. five cents for the support of athletics. A committee was appointed to collect the tax, with baseball manager Gratz as chairman. The Alpha Delts defeated the Psi Us last evening in baseball-score, 4 to 3. The DAILY is in receipt of the twenty-ninth annual joint debate of the societies of the U " of Wiscon- sin, sent with the compliments of the Daily Cardinal.
