Cooley, chief engineer of tie Yosemite, has writ- ten to friends that he has ast been nade chief engieer of the United States steamer Yankee, a sister ship of the Yosemite. Now that the peace csuimissinl has nearly finished its work, the egineering faculty look for Prof. Cooley's return in the near future, thougih lie is rather quiet on the subject.
