LAST Saturday's inter-collegiate
field meet convinced the most skep-
tical tat the U. of Ml. is rapidly
coning to the front in track and
field sports. It sas our first coms-
petition witho other colleges in this
line of sports, and the results prove
that Mlichigan has men equal to the
best. It nust be renmenbered that
tmost of thenen have had but one
year's training, they have not yet
reached their best records, and with-
ot doubt next year will see all of
Msichigan's field and track recoris
reach the highest mark. In every
way the prospets for next year's
team are very bright. All of thin
yeara winners, with possibly one
exception, will return to the Uni-
versty, and several newv men whlo
are firt-class in this line of sport
will enter net fll. Let every good
man trn out next year, and help
retain the laurelt s eIave won.
