THE attention of advetioes in called to the large editionaswec ae issuing Monday of ach wck, as we ae sure you can find no better advertising medium in the city. Monday we issued an edition of 2,o0, which was a great success, sod sas appreciated y our patrons. Next Monday we wilt issue an edition of not less tan 2,500 copies, and tave no reason to fear that our efforts to please all, advertisers and readers as well, will fail to receive the hearty supor of all. All whso desire to place adver- tisenments with us for this edition shosld do so at once. IT is largely from the stdents that certain husiness men of this city get their sustenance. In view of this fact it would seenm that they would support student enterrises, but it seems an understanding has been arrived at by the business nmen of Ann Arbor in one branch of bus- iness, with the possible exception of one or two firms, to boycott the DAILY. It may be seen at a glance to what business we refer. Not only have they refused to advertise, but they have attempted to get a certain firm who does advertise, to cancel their contract. Students, you should support those who sup- game wan very strong, and it is in ttiis pryoand to this end note well that the moot improveentt has beetn portyoumade. But the interferetsce was tnot our advertising columns. The local wvhat it ought to have bees, and the busineso men can hardly expect us ea must itmprove its this before we to kep freig adertiemens ouisseet the league teaims. November Inlander. The Inlander for November will i he out promptly on the first of the! month. The pronsised article by Prsf. D'Ooge on "How to Study at the U. of il." will be the leading feature of the nunmher. This article iso the first of a series to run through several nmonths of the college year, treating from various points of view the subject of the studentos relation to the wurk of the University. Othser attractive features of the Novenmher number will be a group of sketches of the Atlantic Seaboard by Mabel E. Holmes, a short story by C. K. Friedman, '93, a sketch by Louis Strauss, an essay on "The American Poet, Edward Rowland Sill,' by Eugene H. Garnett, and a striking and original paper by Stuart H. Perry, his subject, "Tthe Ne- glected Senses." Book reviews, alunini notes, chronicle of events and the other departments will be continued. The verse of the Dum- ber wiii be especially profuse and attractive. Besides those nmen- tioned other articles and stories are pronsised, and the nusmber wiii be in many wvays an itmprovemuent over the October issue. Iron and Steel Club. 'Tie weeckly meeting of thse Iron anti Sleet Club svas hseld in Roomi C, of thse Chenmical laboratory, last evening. C. L. Davidson read a paper on "Labor-saving Devices," whsichi sas nmuch enjoyed by all present. A journal club was or- ganized, and menmbers assigned work. Judging from the large nuns- her present, thsis feature of the work will receive hearty support. Wtsconsin's Eleven. Inasmuch as our football leanm is to play the University of Wiscon- sin team soon, it may not be amiss to know something of the latter team. The followeing clipping from the Wisconsin Cardinal gives some of the points of their play: Tine football team has improved very much sisce tihe game with Chit- cage.
