winner of the Hype. man Award given to
the Sports Information Director who
personifie the hyperbolic nature of the
Heisman Award. Hackett was honored
for his efforts to promote Alcorn OB

voting, an unprecedented finish for a black college player.

BI hop Col leg holds the NCAA Oiv. III record for most
points scored in a single game. They beat Southwest
Assembly of God, 168 - 76 in a game played January 31,
1983.
The NCAA record for fewest points allowed per game
belongs to Alcorn Stat for their defensive effort in 1941.
The Sraves gave up a total Of 323 points in 16 games.
Norfolk State holds the NCAA Oiv. II regular season record
for most consecutive games scoring 100 points. The Spartans
went over the century mark 17 straight times in 1970.
