sent a poetry reading by Sonia
Sanchez. She will read a sampling of
her work at 4:15pm In the Friends
Auditorium of the Detroit Public LI­
brary. Sanchez, a professor at Tem­
ple Univ., has written a book, "Home
Girts and Handgrenades,· and was
active in the civil rights movement of
the '60s. Admission is FREE
