Since the independence of Ghana, under the leadership of
Kwame Nkrurnah in 1956, most African countries have now
rid themselves of white ettl r colonialism in the reclaiming of
their lands. .
South Africa represen the last bastior, of white settler
colonialism on the ontin nt of Africa. We must do everything
we can to help our brothers and sisters in South Africa disman­
tle this raci t and whit suprem ci t r gim as they struggle
to win th ir land b ck. Even though the elec ion in South
Africa were historic, the land uestion remains a major c
en in the' efforts or-national reconstruction tlnt!er the w
government.
In the same connection-after the Civil War, African people
in America wer promi 40 acres and a mule. As we all are
aware of, this promis wa never fulfilled. However, African
people who lived in the southern region of the United States
owned 16,000,000 acres of land by the end of the 19 h century.

IT HAS BEEN WELL documented by numerous agencies
that "In 1909 there were 3,000,000 Blacks engaged in farming,
cultivating orne 41,500,00 acres of Land" in the south. In fact,
the rural African American farmers not only account d for
almost 70 per nt of the total African American po ulation, but
30 percent of the total southern rural population and 40 percent
of all southern farmers.
Today, African American peopl , in the south, own I than
5,000,000 acres of land. This tremendous land loss by African
Americans in the. outh n attributed to the land grab
chemes by white farm rs, develop rs, banks, manipulation of ,......_,.
the law, and the younger African American generations begin �
generally disinter ted in owning and maintaining property.
This i another 1 on why we need to re-stimulate the
discussion of land in the Black liberation movement.
It is without question that the European world order has at
the core of its objectives to conquer mother nature and man-
kind Th conquering of mother nature and mankind is tied to
conqu ring and controlling land.
And of course, the new world order that the United Stat
and it w tern allies have been articula ing is ju t an exten­
ion of the old European world order that is bas d on white
cy and control ofth world which mean con rolling the
