sary Sunday, May 15 at the
Quartette Convention Head
quarters, 3222 Purtin, Their spe
cial guest was the Gospel
Tornadoes from Muskegon, Mi.
The Sacred Five was formed

Most of the members of the
Sacred Five are relatives and all
except one is a member of the Joy
Road Baptist.
CHARLES BROWN, the
manager and lead/tenor singer
with the 'Tornadoes' said the
group has been together since
1975 and that they travel exten
sively.
Moreover he said, Muskegon
has approximately seven or
eight-thousand Blacks but "gos
pel singing is received very well. "
"That's (Muskegon) a sacred
town, " he said. "We have quiet a .
few youngsters coming out to
programs and many are singing
too."
While Muskegon is relatively
small, Brown said, it, the same
as Detroit, is experiencing drugs
and all the problems associated
with the life-style.
