said she had no knowledge of
such situations and expressed
suspicions about the accuracy of

She aid she knew of a third
party who asked the method by

Vagnozzi told the Michigan
Citizen she sent a questionnaire
to stewards to give to teachers,
asking questions about whether
any student expelled for bring­
ing weapons or other illegal vio­
lent behavior had been
readmitted into the classroom.
100 of the 400 she received told
of these problems.
A similar description of the
survey method was included in
the union newspaper article
about the findings.
Vagnozzi stated that the
names of the teacher's were kept
secret, because they were afraid
of getting into trouble with the
administration. Helen Moore, a
parent, who is an activist and
often a critic of both the school
board and the teacher's union,
said that violent behavior "is not
as rampant as DFT wants to
make it."

Highland Park or any suburb.
McDonald' is the name and
selling hamburgers is their
game.
Robert Chappell knows the
game well bees use he is the
owner of two MeDonalds restau­
rants, one in Highland Park and
the other in Detroit.
Recently, Chappell was the
guest speaker at the Highland
Park Lio Club ee' ng and
o
decided to become an owner of a
McDonalds. In 1975, he was
hired to do real estate develop­
ment for the franchise locally.
He also had a hand in building
the business at the sites selected
from 1980-87. Chappell's inter­
est was suddenly sparked into
becoming the owner of a MeDon­
alds.
Befo113 purchasing a MeDon­
aIds restaurant, Chappell had to
do five years of training in learn­
ing the operations of a MeDon­
alds restaurant.
Chappell told HP Lions Club
members he bought the HP
cDo ld located on ood-
esummer.
Young people play an inpor­
tant part in the business and
development of McDonalds,
says Chappell.
"There are one million five
(dollars) per unit sales in
McDonaIds," Chappell said.
