Freedo of the p one of the cherished building blocks of our democratic foundations. It is the right of a democracy's organizations, to report all the news that affects the people. And to do so in a fair and objective manner. This press should be constantly vigilant and cast a critical eye on all levels of government and all institutions of power and influence The news media, however, at times, forgets that they, too, are to be held to these same precepts. As institutions of great public influence - not to mention large, profit making enterprise; the print and broadcast media must constantly scrutinize their own behavior, just as they do that of government, civic organizations, and businesses.
