I was ati fled with the way
ome of our alleys looked. A lot
of alleys contained no trash and
garbage at all.

it is not large enough for most of
our trash n . State law re
quires tha tra h recept cles
that are picked up by had cannot
be over 30 gallons.

We realize this is a major
change for our City and realize
it will take time for citizens to
adjust. We are working hard to
make the precess easier for eve
ryone.
In the upcoming weeks we
will distribute information fly- ,
ers concerning our trash and
garbage pickup. We will also ex:

atoording to the Rainbow,
Historically, Congress has
granted statehood when three
criteria were met: the people
choose to become a state, accept
a representative form of govern

economy to support a state. D.C.
meets all three criteria, accord

D.C. residents pay 1.3 bil

sum greater than that paid y
eight states.
The per capita tax payment
for D.C. is $500 above the na
