To protest the lack of city gar­
bage pickups Johnson burned
her garbage on July 13. The act
violates a city ordinance.
She emphasized she does not
want anyone else to follow her
example, because he fears this
"would be very dangerous", cre­
ating a fire hazard and an envi­
ronmental problem.
She said that she took preeau­
tions - placing the garbage in a
small, neat pile, and having a
portable phone, which she could
use to contact the fire depart­
ment, if it got out of control.
Johnson said there were mag­
gots, flies, rodents, nd stench
