Karriam Watson of Muskegon Hts. High School has been awarded the
How� SC�larship. to � college of his choice. He is planning to attend
the University of Michigan to study Biology and Pre-Medicine.

Derico Watson of Muskegon High School has been awarded the
Alumni Band Award. He was the drum section leader for the high school
marching band, Wind Symphony and Jazz Band.
He plans to attend Grand Rapids Community College majoring in
music. Congratulations Derico.

gon in August as she travel to Las
Vegas to defend her crown.
Danielle is the daughter of
Rev. T.J. and Janice Roberson.

School.
In March 1992, Danielle en­
tered the Young American Stars
Regional Beauty and Talent Con­
test of the. Eastern Division.

Danielle aid the competition
was tough. The categorie in the Pagenant included, modeling
. ( portsware, evening gown and casual ware), talent, interview, photo and
all around (personality). She aid it was neces ary for her to win in order
to qualify for the National Competition.
With a score of 95.6 out of a po ible 1 percent, Danielle w
crow ned Queen of the Eastern Division. That qualified her for the
National Pagenant to be held in Las Veg Nevada.
In August 1992, Danielle entered th National Final of the Young
erican Stars Beauty an Talent Pagenant, wh re there were competi­
tors from all over the United Stat .
Danielle was next to last to compete. After th m deling, inteview and
photos, she ung, "The Greatest Love Of All" by Whitn y Houston,
captivating th audience and judges. WIth hi h marks in all categon ,
percent total, Danielle w crown Queen.
Now as Queen, Danielle must return to Ve in Au t to d f nd
her crown.
