The Panthers, coached by former Wayne State sistant Byron Willi , placed third in the tern c , and then won the tate play-off with win over Macomb COmmunity Col­ lege. That gave Willi a tate title in only hi cond year at HPCC, High­ land Park w eliminated in the junior college Division I regional by Cin­ cinnati Tech. HPCC' Andre Gregory, a 6-foot- 3 freshman who att nded Detroit Central, led the Eastern Conference in scoring (24.2 points), rebounding (13.3), and i ts (12.2) average . He led tbe entire MCCAA in as- i ts. Gregory w a second-team All-Eastern lection.
