Beverty A. Jackson (r) pictured with Joan Rivers recently celebrated
her second season as director of the nationally syndicated "Joan
Rivers Show." Jackson was the first African-American director to
be hired by 'KYW-TV in Philadelphia. In the future Beverty is ASpiring
to employ her directing talents on feature films, sitcoms, concert
spectals, soap operas �nd music videos.

Detroiter to appear with, international choir
Pamela Y. Green, a native Detroiter and soloist with the
Knoxville College Concert Choir will appear with the internation­
ally known choir Friday, March 26, 7:30 p.rn., at Westminster
Church, 17567 Hubbell at West Outer Drive. Green has been
guest soloist for numerous programs including the "Blake Pro­
ject", the Tennessee Country Music Hall of Fame and the­
National Association of Teachers and Singers. She has also
toured Spain and performed with the Mahler's Symphony A
