frustrated and disappointed."
Byrd dded that chool need to

"Educators should stop cri ticiz­
ing the students' hom situations am
start helping," she aid. "The chool
is not responsibl for everything in
the communi ty, but it is r ponsible
when the child i in the chool build­
ing."
Some felt that students them­
selves should be responsible for pre­
venting and ending violence in the
schools.
