the Highland Seventh-Day Adventist
Church, Benton Harbor, of which he w a
member.
Burial was in Mi '00 Hills Memorial
Gardens, Niles. Allred Funeral Home, Ber­
rien Springs, were in charge of anange­
ments.
Memorial may be made in care of the
Highland Seventh-Day Adventist O1urch
for the Festus Valentine Educational En­
dowment fund.
Mr. Valentine was born March 23,
1926, in Jersy City, NJ. He w a guidance
counselor at Lake Michigan College. He
was first elder for Highland Seventh-Day
Adventist Church. He w a member of the
Michigan Personnel GuidanceAsaociatioo.
He was treasurer of the Berrien Homes of
Benton Harbor.
Survivors include: his wife, former
Allie Terrell; two daughters, Mrs. John
(Brenda) Smith of Chattanooga. Tenn. and
Reita Valentine of Huntsville, Ala; two
grandchildren; and a brother, Lester Valen­
tine o,f Bronz, N.Y.

between the City of Benton Harbor
and the City'S Downtown
Development Authority and Tax
Incrern nt Finance Authority that
will et the Boards back into motion.
In th agreem nt dated December
o 1992, DDA/TIFA Boards both
agreed to forgive the $320,000
Revenue Sharing Agreement
liability owed them by the City for
the year ending June 30,1992.
Also in the greement, the City
agrees to pay DDAfIlFA for the
years ending June 30, 1993 and June
30, 1994 an amount of $480,000 per
year. This is to offset the revenue
which wa not received by
DDAffIFA for the year ending June,
30,1992.

of God in Quist, Benton Harbor.
