The AME General Conference I' i held every four years and brings together representatives from 19 districts throughout America, the . Bahamas, the Virgin Islands and Africa. More than 25,000 people are expected to attend the Conference. Delegates, their families and other Conference participants will occupy more than 25 hotels in the Orlando area. The Clarion Hotel will serve as Conference headquarters. This Conference will being together one of the largest : gatherings of people of African descent to consider development of programs to enhance the lives of humankind throughout the world. A PRIMARY MISSION of the African Methodist Episcopal Church i the development of the whole person. To -carry out this mission, the 4�th Annual Conference will adopt plans for educational outreach, protest and effective stewardship. Through these programs, the AME Church serves as vocal advocate for people of African descent around the world, organizers ay. Delegates to the General Conference will elect and assign leaders responsible for the administration and. promotion of the programs of the AME Church.
