Love, BHe".
Three letters - BHC - they sig
nify 0 much. Primarily, they rep
resent Brother Hood Creed, the
ideal and the name of the new
rap/hip-hop/ R&B duo, comprised
of Tyrone Ward (Shy Tai Love) and
Sean McDuffie (The Mack); but the
concept of "brotherhood" is not to
be mi construed for a racial stance.
Rather, the boys have a much
broader vision. "Its the brother
hood of all races, the unity," ex
plains Sean.
But there's more. BHC also
stands for their motto, their chosen
lifestyle, according to Tyrone,
"Being Humble and Creative."
THI AND ALL of BHC'
songs are metaphorically rich ex
cerpts of real life, love and fantasy,
but .they al 0 are intentionally
devoid of heavy, mindful politics,
anger or bitterne s, replacing
negativity with playfulness. Sean
explains, "When people are having
fun together, nobody has problems.
It's when the fun stop that the
problems start. We want our entire
album to be positive, 0 people can
break the rewind button, break the
fast forward.button and just play it
all day."
Adds Tyrone, "It' good to be
aware, but we don't want to dwell '
on or contribute to the negativity.
They already hear all of that in the
new . We just want to make things
better and happier and put smiles on
people's faces."
The duo's first single is "Hel
luva", a song about everyone's
dream girl. Sean comments, "I'm
on a constant search for Helluva, so
I won't have to go through that
route again, playing Nintendo, for
twelve days straight, 24 hours per
day, trying to forget my heart
ache."

Their values of brotherhood are
exemplified in their own partner
ship, where drawing the best from
one another and complementing
each other's life is commonplace.
"I write, but I can't write without
Ty. He doesn't even have to say
anything; he just . has to be there,
bringing out the 'hype' in me," says
Sean. Consequently, Sean devoted
an entire verse to Tyrone in "P.S.

one hears the upbeat, melodic R&B

the "Sheils", the band's theme song
which promotes achievement. The
song denotes rising from the bot

to the sea shore, which represents
attaining one's goals. "We're all
