The U.s.govemmentandits leadership has been and till is giving reparations to the state of Isreal and the Jewish people, now to the tune of over $4 bil lion a year. The government of the U.S. is now giving over $500 million to the Communist government of "Red" Rial The U.s. government is also giving countl billions of dol lars to the governments and peopl of thcr tiODllll'9und tbewodd. Never forget that our enslaved foreparents worked from early Imming to late at night, ix or even days Ie, FREE for more than three hundred years years. In addition, more that 100 million Africans died in the Middle P age during their enslavement journey from Africa to the American shores. BUT THE U.S. govern- . ment has yet to see fit and declare African Americans worthy of reparations, while at the same time giving every other group billions of tax dol lars. This is tantamount to a criminal injustice! Operation PUSH nationally and locally supports repara tions of African Americans, as represented in a bill introduced by Congressman John Con yers. It is time that Americans pay up their long overdue debt. Operation PUSH of Detroit will be working to introduce a reparations bill for all African Americans who were victims of America's apartheid, a.k.a. Jim Crow, that flourished in this country against African Americans from 1865 until 1964. All who were victims should get reparations like Japan, Germ ny, Isreal and Communist Ria. They are even giving reparations to the savings and'loans. Never forget that America bas never officially apologized to African Amerlcans for their enslavement, or requested for giveoeaa for the enslavement of our foreparen or for the 100 years of second-cl citizen ship mt apartheid. AMERICA HAS never paid for any of the above. Let us get up and work for justice, especially economic j lice. Join PUSH today in the na tional and local efforts to ad dre and re olve the e and other concerns.
