graduates of Wayne State
University are invited to share
in a special evening as the Or- .
ganization of Black Alumni
(OBA) of WSU celebrates its
recogni tion an official af
filiate of the university. The
event will be held from 9 p.m.
to 1 a.m Fri4ay, May 1 at the
University Club, located at
1411 E. Jefferson, east of the
Chrysler Freeway.
Founded in 1990, OBA
recently became the first
Black organization of its kind
to be granted status as an offi
cial "friends" affiliate of the
.' Wayne State Univer ity
Alumni Association. The or
ganization was created to en
hance and support Black
students, who attend Wayne
State Univer ity through
scholarship and mentoring
programs. OBA also is com
mitted to fostering profes-
ional development among
fonner Black tuden of the
university.
