The public di closure of a political party preference defeats the purpose of a private ballot. One could look at the two lists and know with a great deal of accuracy which candidate they will vote for in November. Of course, .with 1-99 being a critical election, every vote is important. While it is wrong to be re­ quired to publicly disclose our politics, we must over­ come the obstacles placed in our way in order to vote even if it is just for the lesser of two evils.
