continued from 8-1
joyed another across-the-board Top
10 pop hit with "lfEver You 're ln My
Arms Again. " The latter two went to
#1 on the AC charts.
After four albums for Elektra, in
cluding the critically-acclaimed
"Take No Prisoners" set, Peabo
returned to Capitol for 1989's "All
My Love" (Top 10 R&B) which
spawned the #1 R&B hit "Show and
Tell" (a remake of the Al Wilson
Chestnut). In 1990, Peabo signed a
new recording contract with Colum
bia Records.
"We took our time putting this
lbum together because I wanted it
to be special," says Peabo, "and I
looked at different ways to talk about
. romance and relationships lyrically.
I worked bard in the studio to give
my best performance and I was for
tunate .in having executives at the
company like Don Ienner and Jay
Landers who really nurtured the
project and encouraged me to make
the best po ible album."
From the straight-up groove of "1
Wanna Be With You" to his
heartrending version of the Michael
Bolton hit -soa Provider", Peabo
Bry on has delivered an album that
reconfirms his place as one of con
termporary music's leading male
vocali ts; and reaffirmas his ability
to deliver music authentically, with
: p sion, power, and, as alway , oul.
Peabo Bryson will be in the
Detroit, MI area for a long-awaited
October 26, 1991 concert at the Fox
