According to journalist Rita Grif­ fin, however, that scenario oe not apply to her late godson, Andre Lamont Dozier. "Hi death certainly was a hock to us all," Ms. Griffin said. "But his life was full and reward­ ing and, to me, that is a comfort." MR. DOZI R, A native De troiter, died of a m ive heart attack September 3, in Chicago, where he had been working for the past year. He was the son of Hattie Wil­ liams, a VA W administrative aide, and former Motown songwriter Lamont Dozier. Mr. Dozier gradu ted in June, 1990, from Michigan State Univer­ sity, earning a degree in finance. At the time of his death, he w credit analyst at LaSalle National Bank in Chicago. , Ms. Griffin said that, like both his parents, Andre Dozier wa "an achiever at an early age." Following a memorial service in Chicago, which his father attended, final rite were held for Mr. Dozier t Detroit' New Bethel Baptist Church on Tue day, September 10. Rev.
